around the globe and reimagined for more than 160 years. The other is a 27-year local
story—DreamWrights itself—now wri}ng a bold new chapter.
Local playwright Kate Brennan has immersed herself in the wit and whimsy of Lewis
Carroll, capturing the heartbeat of his love for language, imagina}on, and the curiosity of the human spirit.
More than 100 individuals from our greater York community came together to construct 昀椀ve fantas}cal Wonderlands—spaces designed for adults to rediscover their
inner child and for children to feel perfectly at home. Professional ar}sts, dedicated
volunteers, students from Logos Academy, DreamWrights’ summer campers, members of our board (and my own family) all fell down the rabbit hole to contribute their
unique interpreta}ons. This collec}ve vision has grown over two years of development and blossomed in these last eight weeks of rehearsal.
Whether you are wandering the halls of DreamWrights for the very 昀椀rst }me or have
shared the last 27 years with us, we hope you see both our organiza}on and our community in a new light. May that light shine brightly as a beacon for all who seek a safe
space to be their authen}c selves while ar}s}cally sharing stories. This spirit is perhaps best captured by ADDI’s sneaky sonnet, which has found its way to all of us:
Oh, to be the person you’ve discovered
By journeying the shores inside your soul
Wri}ng, the reward you have uncovered
A message in a bo琀琀le that you hold
The ink is but the shadow that you leave
A mark to show the person you’ve become
By wrestling your demons as you cleave
The parts of who you were the winning sum
It’s who you are, a gi昀琀 upon the page,
The journey is the point of all the stress
To grapple with the ques}ons of an age
to make some sense of all of the duress
Reveal yourself: the gorgeous and grotesque—

It’s why a raven’s like a wri}ng desk.
This process has been unforge琀琀able and I am humbled by the countless contribu}ons
of the cast, crew, community, and my family.
Iggy—this one is for you, palzone!
Be Well. Be Crea}ve. Be Kind.
