Once on This Island is a story that pulses with music, movement, and
myth — but at its heart, it is a deeply human tale of love, sacri昀椀ce, and
legacy.
Direc琀椀ng this produc琀椀on has been a journey of discovery and collabora琀椀on. We have been inspired every day by the crea琀椀vity, vulnerability,
and dedica琀椀on of this cast and crew — each one contribu琀椀ng something
vital to the world we’ve created together.
Some say Once on This Island is like The Li琀琀le Mermaid… but this story
runs much deeper. Yes, Ti Moune sacri昀椀ces for love — but this isn’t just
a fairy tale. It’s a powerful re昀氀ec琀椀on of colonial history, colorism, and
